On Wednesday, Warrigal celebrated the official grand opening of Warrigal Central! This event served as an excellent opportunity for our Support Services employees, executive team, board and company members to come together, connect and celebrate this exciting milestone.

Over 100 people gathered at the front of Warrigal Central to witness the cutting of the ribbon by past Chairmans’ of the Board, Alan Cluff and Alan Hardy, and current Chairman, Wyn Janssen.

Next, the Hot Potato Band, with their instruments in hand, led everyone up to the second floor where the formalities began. After an address from the Chairman of our Board, Wyn Janssen, and our Warrigal CEO, Jenni Hutchins, the band appeared once again and delighted staff with their clever renditions of popular songs.

Smiles and laughter filled Level 2 at Warrigal, as attendees enjoyed refreshments, good music and great conversations amongst colleagues. The uplifting energy surged throughout the office for the remainder of the day, as teams reflected on this fun and rewarding experience.

This new office location provides a central space for Warrigal administrative and support staff to collaborate and deliver exceptional aged care services to our older people, and marks an important milestone for Warrigal’s impressive service growth in our near 60-years of operations. This grand opening has been an anticipated occasion, as Warrigal teams began to move into the Central office space in November last year from different locations around the Illawarra.

Warrigal CEO, Jenni Hutchins, shared some inspiring words about the event: “Everywhere I looked today, there was joy and laughter – it really was a great celebration of us. A celebration of how we want to work together and our collective focus on connection, culture and collaboration.”
