Warrigal is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Bridgement to its Board of Directors, effective January 2025. This appointment strengthens the Board’s governance and expertise, particularly in financial management and strategic oversight, during a time of significant change in the aged care sector.
Scott is a highly regarded executive leader in Local Government and an experienced Board Director in the Illawarra region. He brings extensive expertise in financial management, governance, risk, technology, commercial operations, cultural reform, and strategic planning from senior executive roles at Shellharbour City Council, NSW State Emergency Service, BlueScope Steel, and NRMA.
Scott’s significant Board experience includes Director roles at The Housing Trust, Bendigo Community Bank, and Destination NSW. His professional accreditations include:
After the retirement of a long-standing Board Director, his appointment follows an extensive search for a finance expert to join Warrigal’s skills-based Board, ensuring continued strong governance, stewardship, and strategic oversight as the organisation navigates an evolving landscape in aged care.
Warrigal CEO Jenni Hutchins welcomed Scott to the Board, saying: “Scott’s wealth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to address the changing dynamics of the aged care sector. His deep commitment to supporting the rights and choices of older people aligns perfectly with Warrigal’s vision.”
