100% of Warrigal's 13 homes are now fully compliant with the Aged Care Quality Standards, totalling 546 met requirements—significantly above the national average of 84%.
Warrigal is thrilled to announce that its Warrigal Queanbeyan home has recently achieved outstanding results in a Commission visit. The report confirmed that all nine reviewed requirements were met, marking a significant milestone for Warrigal. This achievement means that 100% of Warrigal’s 13 homes are now fully compliant with the Aged Care Quality Standards, totalling 546 met requirements—significantly above the national average of 84%.
In addition, Warrigal’s Home Care services have also met all 39 requirements across three services, further underscoring the organisation’s commitment to delivering exceptional care across all facets of its operations.
Craig Smith, Warrigal Acting CEO, remarked, “We are immensely proud to have achieved full compliance. This accomplishment is a testament to the efforts of our staff over the past three years to enhance the experience for our residents and customers through significant improvements. It highlights our strategic commitment to putting our customers first and reflects our core value of working as ‘One Team’.”
He added, “Our big thanks go out to our staff for their endless commitment and relentless efforts day in and day out. This achievement reflects their dedication and the high standards of care we strive to deliver to our residents and clients every day.”
Aged care providers must adhere to the Aged Care Quality Standards, with the Commission conducting periodic site audits and quality reviews, typically every three years. These audits include interviews with at least 10% of the people using the service. Additionally, the Commission performs risk-based monitoring and assessments, focusing on areas such as food, dining, nutrition, and workforce responsibilities. This comprehensive approach ensures a clear and thorough evaluation of sector performance.
