You can read more about Aged Care Funding options at our resource here.

Retirement Living

For Retirement Living, Warrigal has a sales process for the purchasing of the villa, townhouse, unit or apartment they are interested in, as well as an ongoing service payment to cover the maintenance and services offered while living in our Retirement Lifestyle Villages. Moving can be a daunting task at any stage of life, but often in our older years this will mean possibly packing and sorting through many years’ worth of cherished belongings. But don’t stress, they don’t have to part with all of it, and we encourage to them decorate their new place with us in a way that makes them feel at home – because it is their home!

By this stage, your loved one will be settling in to their new Warrigal home! Whether they’re with us for Residential Aged Care, or Retirement Lifestyle Village, our team goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, connected and supported.

Retirement Living

It’s time to sit back and relax as your loved one enjoys their retirement. Our lifestyle villages are friendly communities of like-minded people, where they can get involved with or organise as many (or as little) activities as they want. If you ever have questions or need assistance, feel free to get in touch with our Village Services Coordinator or Community Facilitator, who is there to help you and your loved one.

What is Residential Aged Care?

Residential Aged Care is a long-term service option for older people who need ongoing 24-hour access to health professionals and personalised care. Usually this is an option for people who are no longer able to live independently and manage their day-to-day personal care at home.

Respite is also available as a part of Residential Aged Care, if you or your carer needs a short-term break.

What are Home Services?

How do I know what services I need?

When it comes to selecting services, it’s important to evaluate your loved one’s needs against their current capabilities. If you need help deciding, it could be helpful to discuss this with their doctor or loved ones regarding where they think you would benefit from with some extra help.

Once you have an idea what they need help with, contact our friendly Customer Relations team to discuss what services Warrigal can offer.

What are the requirements for accessing services?

Depending on the service your loved ones are wanting to receive, they may need an ACAT Assessment. This is a complimentary assessment completed to assess their care needs, and makes recommendations for government-funded care and support (specifically Residential Care and Home Services).

For Retirement Living, there is no requirement apart from their age (55+), their financial situation, and ability to purchase the property they are interested in.
