Warrigal is inviting the Illawarra community to a free Ageing Well with Warrigal wellness event, designed to connect older people and their families with the services, advice, and resources they need to live active, healthy, and connected lives.

The event will take place on Wednesday 27 August 2025, from 10am to 12pm at the Shellharbour Civic Centre, Jungah 2.

Attendees will enjoy a short presentation on wellness services for older people, followed by an expo-style session where they can meet local providers, ask questions, and collect helpful resources. Light refreshments will also be provided.

The line-up includes: Warrigal, Gateway Life, Dementia Australia, Hearing Australia, Treadright Podiatry, Shellharbour City Libraries, Australian Health Professionals, Country Care Group, and Illawarra Shoalhaven Health.

Warrigal CEO Jenni Hutchins said the event is part of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to helping older people feel known, loved, and connected.

“Ageing well isn’t just about physical health, it’s about social connection, mental well-being, and access to the right support at the right time,” Ms Hutchins said.

“This event will bring together experts and services under one roof, so older people and their families can explore options, ask questions, and take away resources to support their personal wellness journey.”
