Warrigal is thrilled to announce a historic triple win at the Illawarra Business Awards, capturing the Excellence in Culture, Excellence in Large Business, and Business of the Year awards. Held at WIN Stadium, the event celebrated the top regional businesses and their contributions.
Warrigal is thrilled to announce a triple win at the prestigious Illawarra Business Awards, securing the Excellence in Culture, Excellence in Large Business, and the coveted Business of the Year awards. The ceremony, held at the iconic WIN Stadium tonight, was a grand occasion that brought together the region’s top businesses to honour their contributions to the vibrant and diverse Illawarra community.
Twenty Warrigal staff members, board members, and senior leaders were in attendance to celebrate this extraordinary achievement. The Illawarra Business Awards, a cornerstone of the region’s business calendar for over 30 years, recognise outstanding organisations and individuals who drive regional success and innovation.
These awards highlight Warrigal’s commitment to its purpose: ensuring that older people live great lives, on their terms. The Excellence in Culture award highlights Warrigal’s dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking work environment. This focus on culture directly influences the high standard of care provided to residents and customers. The Excellence in Large Business award reinforces Warrigal’s leadership in the aged care sector, showcasing its exceptional service across its expanding network in the Illawarra and ACT regions.
The pinnacle of the evening was the Business of the Year award, which acknowledges Warrigal’s overall excellence and impact on the community. This accolade marks a significant milestone in Warrigal’s journey and is a testament to its continuous innovation and exceptional care.
Warrigal CEO Jenni Hutchins expressed her elation and gratitude for the recognition: “We are incredibly honoured to receive these three awards. As a community-owned organisation, this recognition reflects the passion, dedication, and commitment of our entire team. At Warrigal, we believe that fostering a culture of care, respect, and innovation is crucial to offering older people the opportunity to live great lives. These accolades are a tribute to the hard work of our staff and the trust placed in us by our community. We are excited to share this moment with everyone who contributes to making Warrigal such a special place.”
Looking ahead, Warrigal will now head to the NSW State Business Awards in October to compete for further honours and showcase its achievements on a broader stage. This triple win is a testament to Warrigal’s ongoing mission to grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional care and services while shaping the future of aged care and enhancing the lives of older Australians.
