The reason we get together at Warrigal social is to meet up with our friends and associate with others.

The thing I love most about it is communicating and connecting with one another. As well as seeing the people, and going out and seeing things on the bus trips.

A lot of people love the transport too, being picked up to and from their homes so our Elders can attend the group.

The Elders love getting involved with the new hobbies we do there, like making jewellery. It helps us feel creative.

Some people feel a bit hesitant at first, but once they start being shown how to do it they get a lot more confident and really get into it.

The staff do everything for you, if you say “oh I feel like a cup of tea” they will jump up and make it for you. Not because we expect them to, but because they love to do it and help you. They are very caring and go above and beyond for us.

The Warrigal Social staff put so much time and effort in. If they don’t hear from you in a little while, they’ll give you a call just to check in and see how you are going because they care about you.
