Community Village life is all about embracing the seamless blend between communal and independent living, enjoying your retirement surrounded by like-minded individuals.
Community Village life is all about embracing the seamless blend between communal and independent living, enjoying your retirement surrounded by like-minded individuals. So why not elevate your retirement lifestyle, help shape the vibrant events calendar, and build the community at Warrigal Lake South?
Warrigal Lake South will be a place that many will call home (maybe even you!), and what better way to meet your fellow villagers than joining the committee, helping to create the buzz within the village?
From BBQ get-togethers to bingo afternoons, movie nights or a day out sightseeing, the opportunities for social connection within the village are endless!
The Village Social Committee boosts social interaction, wellbeing and community engagement, helping create a warm atmosphere – values that will align with your own if you’re considering community living for your retirement.
It’s all about creating a sense of belonging! And the hustle and bustle that’ll be life at Warrigal Lake South!

Across our villages, the committee generally consists of 5-10 residents who meet as frequently as desired (usually every 4-8 weeks). Roles within the committee include:
Picture yourself taking on one of these roles?

The village really is your oyster! Take advantage of the many perks that come with community living. With an exciting events calendar right at your doorstep, social connection will flourish. You can help with the planning, organising and promoting of various events like:
And the list goes on…
Across our villages, on-site events like bingo, craft activities and morning teas are usually held weekly or fortnightly – ideal for the social butterflies. Larger events like concerts, significant celebrations or theme days occur on a monthly to quarterly basis. Off-site events, including bus trips, generally occur on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
The events calendar can be as jam-packed (perfect for a fast-paced lifestyle) or relaxed (perfect for a slower-paced lifestyle) as the committee likes to suit resident needs.

Coordinating all-things social at Warrigal Lake South is a big task but we’ll be there to offer support along the way. Although the committee will have full control of the planning and organising of events, we can help with the following if needed:

So why not consider taking on a role within the Village Social Committee? And what a fantastic way to elevate your retirement living!
With no shortage of engaging activities and community outings, social connection will be sure to flourish – something you can help create for all the lucky villagers who will call Warrigal Lake South home.
Social, welcoming and connected – that’ll be life at Warrigal Lake South!
Stay tuned for more of the exciting news and project updates to come. There’s not long left till the buzz of the day-to-day at Warrigal Lake South comes to life!
Until next month!
*NSW guidelines note that villages may form additional committees specifically for social activities.
