Explore Warrigal’s Matterport Virtual Tours!

Our new Matterport virtual tours provide prospective residents and their loved ones with the opportunity to explore our residential aged care homes remotely.

Our new Matterport virtual tours provide prospective residents and their loved ones with the opportunity to explore our residential aged care homes remotely, offering a realistic sense of each care home’s environment, layout, and shared spaces before visiting in person. This helps people feel more informed and confident as they consider their care options, supporting decision-making earlier in their journey.

What is a Matterport tour?

A Matterport tour is an immersive, 3D digital model of a physical space that users can click through remotely to view. Each tour has several interactive Mattertags, which are clickable information labels anchored to specific spots within the scanned area to provide extra details or context.

Key features and benefits
  • Explore from anywhere: Virtual tours are embedded directly on each relevant location page, making them easy to access from anywhere, alongside relevant information about the residential care home.
  • Mobile-friendly experience: The tours are fully optimised for mobile phones and tablets, allowing users to explore homes conveniently on any device, as well as desktop.
  • Interactive Mattertags: Purple information points (Mattertags) are positioned throughout the tours to provide additional context about key spaces, amenities and features, helping users better understand what each area offers. These are accessible by simply clicking on the purple circles.
  • A more immersive experience: Unlike static photography, the 3D walkthroughs allow people to move through the home at their own pace, creating a more authentic and engaging experience. The ability to toggle between viewing styles (e.g. first-person walkthroughs, and the 3D birds-eye ‘dollhouse’ view) allows users to achieve an overall feel for each space.
  • Supports informed decision-making: Older people and their families can familiarise themselves with the home before arranging a visit, helping to reduce uncertainty and making face-to-face tours more meaningful.
  • Greater accessibility: Virtual tours provide an inclusive option for people who are interstate, have limited mobility, are time-poor, or are supporting a loved one from a distance.
  • Builds confidence and trust: By giving families greater visibility of the home’s environment and shared spaces, the tours help create transparency and reassurance throughout the decision-making process.
